Daruchan no Ouchi is a small workshop located on the site of the Jindaiji daruma market in Tokyo, one of the three main daruma markets in Japan. Local residents get together to create a variety of original figurines, including this model, based on children's drawings. The daruma is usually placed high up, so that it can watch over the household in which it is placed.
